General Terms & Conditions
These terms govern, on the one hand, the booking of our services (Part A) and, on the other, the use of the host-morocco.com website (Part B). By making a booking or browsing the site, you accept them.
Part A — Bookings & services
1. Purpose and scope
Part A governs the relationship between Host Morocco Prestige (the "Provider", "we") and any person booking one of the following services (the "Client", "you"):
- Residences — the short-term rental of residences we manage and offer, together with the associated stay and hosting;
- Journeys — the arrangement of private itineraries and stays in Morocco;
- Events — the design and delivery of receptions, celebrations and productions.
Any booking implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms. Scope: the relationship with homeowners entrusting the management of their property is governed by a separate management agreement, signed between the parties, and is not covered by these terms.
2. Booking and formation of the contract
Each enquiry gives rise to a detailed proposal (service, duration, price, specific conditions). The contract is formed once we receive your written acceptance of the proposal — by email, messaging or any other written form — together with the deposit provided for in Article 4. As each service is prepared individually, no booking is firm until the deposit has been received.
3. Prices
Prices are stated in Moroccan dirhams (MAD), inclusive of taxes where applicable. The agreed price corresponds to the scope of the accepted proposal. Any additional service requested during the stay is subject to a separate agreement and invoice. Certain costs may remain payable by you and are set out in the proposal: local tourist tax, security deposit, options (private chef, transfers, experiences).
4. Payment terms and schedule
Unless otherwise agreed:
- 40% of the total amount on confirmation of the booking;
- the balance (60%) no later than 30 days before departure.
For any booking made less than 30 days before departure, the full amount is payable on confirmation. Payment is accepted by bank transfer or in cash. A security deposit may be requested for stays in a residence; it is returned after the stay, less any damage recorded.
5. Changes by the Client
Any request to change a booking (dates, number of guests, services) is considered subject to availability and may lead to a price adjustment. We do our best to accommodate such requests, without guarantee.
6. Cancellation by the Client
Any cancellation must be notified in writing to contact@host-morocco.com (the date of receipt being authoritative). The amounts retained, calculated on the total price, are as follows:
| Time before arrival | Amount retained |
|---|---|
| More than 30 days | 30% of the total |
| 30 to 21 days | 50% of the total |
| 20 to 15 days | 75% of the total |
| Less than 15 days or no-show | 100% of the total |
During peak season and for Events, a specific — stricter — schedule may apply, given the commitments made to third parties; it is then set out in the proposal. Third-party suppliers may apply their own cancellation terms. If you cut your stay short, services not used are not refunded; your travel insurance is intended to cover such situations (Article 9).
7. Cancellation or changes by Host Morocco
If we have to cancel for a reason attributable to us, we will offer you an equivalent service or a full refund of the sums paid, with no further compensation. If an external event makes a service impossible or unsafe (Article 10), we will work with you to find the best solution for postponement or adaptation.
8. Travel formalities
It is your responsibility to hold valid travel documents (passport, and a visa where required) and to check the conditions of entry into Morocco with the relevant authorities. We cannot be held liable for any denial of boarding or entry resulting from missing or non-compliant documents.
9. Insurance
We strongly recommend that every Client take out travel insurance covering, in particular, medical expenses, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, as well as personal liability for the participants during the service.
10. Activities and force majeure
Some activities may carry inherent risks (hiking, desert excursions, water activities, and the like); participation is at your discretion and responsibility. Neither party is liable for a failure resulting from force majeure under Moroccan law (an unforeseeable, unavoidable and external event: natural disaster, administrative measure, health crisis). The parties will then seek a solution for postponement or adaptation.
11. Client's obligations
- provide accurate information, in particular the exact number of occupants;
- use the premises with care, respecting the neighbourhood and the rules of the residence;
- report any damage or malfunction without delay.
The number of people may not exceed the stated capacity. Subletting is prohibited. Parties or events not provided for in the contract require our prior written consent.
12. Liability
Our obligations are best-efforts obligations: we apply all due care needed for the proper delivery of the service. We cannot be held liable for damage resulting from your own actions, the actions of a third party, or force majeure; we are not responsible for valuables not placed in safekeeping. Save in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, our liability, where it arises, is limited to the amount of the service concerned.
13. Complaints
Any incident must be reported to us without delay during the service, so that we can put it right. Any subsequent complaint must be sent in writing to contact@host-morocco.com within 30 days of the end of the service.
Part B — Use of the website
14. Access to the Site
The host-morocco.com website (the "Site") is freely accessible; access costs (equipment, connection) remain payable by you. We endeavour to keep it available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access; access may be suspended for maintenance or for any reason beyond our control.
